The only comics writer I've ever seen even come CLOSE to this was Lee Falk. I don't think he wrote a single complete sentences in his last forty years of THE PHANTOM. But even HE was writing in sentence fragments, and not just inserting pauses at random.

ReplyDeleteHere's a fun fact about old man Charlton. He was a bricklayer and he built the building that the comics were printed in.
Maybe his... bricklaying was as shoddy... as his comics and... a brick hit him in the head...more likely... bad acid...
