I do remember Chip Away. I think Kenner took Michelangelo's remark "the sculpture is under that marble block, I just have to carve till I find it" quite literally. There is a modern variant on Chip Away, where you just drop the block into water and it fizzes away to reveal the toy (but it removes the "pretend you sculpted it" conceit).

I didn't get to try a Twinkie until at least twenty years after I stopped reading these comics when I visited the US.
